The Boyfriend and His New Business

Hey friends! I am super excited that Adam asked me if he could share something with y'all on the blog today. He is seriously one of the most hard working people I know and I am SO proud of all of his accomplishments.. so without further adieu.. here is the bf for the first time!

Hi Blog World!

My name is Adam (the bf). I haven't made any appearances on here before and I'd like to say that I am a regular blogger but I am not. Jamie has changed my life tremendously... in a good mushy, loving, and relationship type way. Jamie filled me with God and I will always thank her for that!

I love knowing she has met a few of y'all along the way {Hey Nicole!}, at first I was a little wary but I am convinced this blog is something she loves and she really loves her readers.

A little info on me... I have been blessed enough to graduate and do something I love for a living. I currently work at the University of Georgia's Football office in Recruiting and Operations. It's been a roller coaster for me financially because it is basically a paid internship. So God planted a business plan for me through Jamie's roommate's fiance, Trey Beavers (Juice Plus distributer)

So now you have a little background on me, this is where we get down to business. I partnered up with the company Juice Plus to start selling their product. This company is ran by great Christian people. I love Juice Plus, I was a customer of theirs before I started selling. What it is:  it is a whole food based product in capsule form. Juice Plus offers fruits and vegetables in a capsule (and even gummies!!) that you take everyday so you can get your daily nutrition that you have always been missing. The way I like looking at it: the Juice Plus capsule bridges the gap between what you should eat and what you do eat - EVERYDAY! Clinical research backs it up!

I could really type all day about Juice Plus, so for the sake of boredom please visit my personal site at:  Adam's Juice Plus Site

Please feel free to email me anytime with any questions, my email is located on my website!

Thank you so much for reading my post and hopefully I will be back soon!

God Bless!

Seriously y'all.. this product is something worth checking out. I know for me and Adam living a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy and working out is important but there are days when we just don't feel like eating right or going to the gym.. that is where Juice Plus comes in!! You guys are great and thanks for letting Adam invade my little space on the WWW :)

Signed, Sealed, Delivered...

That is the song that has been playing in my head over the last two weeks as I prepared my support letter for my mission trip!

It is seriously so awkward to me to send people a letter asking for money. But I pray that people understand my intentions and are generous : )

Can't believe I am only a month and a half away from spending a week in Granada, Nicaragua!
INSANE!!!

Oh--& I finally got this ever so important document in the mail last week! One less thing to stress about :)

Happy Thursday!

My Obsession

If you know me IRL then you know that I have a slight obsession with makeup!
Over the last few years especially I have been trying every product known to man, from the drug store to Sephora, to create the perfect every day makeup routine.
At this point I feel like I have found the best of the best (for me and my skin) & I thought it would be fun to share with y'all : )

I'll go in order of application rather than the order the products are in in the picture.

1st I apply my foundation. I have pretty oily/combination skin so the Makeup Forever Matte Velvet+ is by far the BEST foundation for me. I put it on at 6 am and when I get ready for bed around 10 pm it is still on perfectly. It is completely worth the money because it has great coverage and the product lasts a while (I usually repurchase about every 3 months!) but it is still reasonably priced compared to other high end foundations.

For concelear I have found that the drug store is your best bet. I have used high end concelears but honestly the result is the same (in my opinion). I have been using Maybelline Super Stay for years. For my under eye area I use the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser. I love how easy it is to apply.

Next I use my Mac Mineralized Skin Finish Natural in the color Medium Plus. I love this stuff because it provides a little bit of color but it's not overwhelming and really helps set my foundation.

For blush I use Nars Orgasm. Hands down best.blush.ever!

Next I move onto my eyes. To prime my eyes I use Urban Decay Primer Potion. This stuff is great. I bought this tube last year at Sephora when I was in Las Vegas and I still have the same tube. I use it every day so that says a lot about how much product you get!!

After I prime my eyes I use Mac Painterly Paint Pot. I like to use this by itself a lot when I'm feeling kind of lazy and don't want to wear a lot of makeup. I also use it under my eye shadow to create an even pallet for the color to go on smoothly. This is by far my favorite product that I use!

I'm not huge on wearing a bunch of eye shadow. I have super small eyes so it can sometimes get a little over the top. I try and stick to neutral colors and this Too Faced pallet is perfect. Here is a picture of the colors inside:

I also really like Urban Decay eye shadows. The one in the picture is the one I use the most and it's in the color sin.

For Mascara I use Loreal Million Lashes. I'm really particular about mascara and this is the best for me. It's dark but isn't clumpy.. I hate clumps.. yuck!!

As far as eye liner is concerned, I'm not too picky. I don't wear eye liner everyday and when I do it's extremely light so I actually prefer the cheap, not so pigmented, eye liners. I just pick up random ones here and there.

Same goes for lip color, I like to keep things pretty light and neutral. Before putting any color on my lips I use EOS lip balm. This is the greatest stuff ever!! It's 95% organic and 100% natural.

& finally, I use Revlon Colorburst lipstick in the color Pink Sugar.

As far as makeup brushes go I really like Sigma brushes. They're relatively inexpensive (compared to Mac brushes) and produce just as great results.

and here is what I look like with my completed "every day" make up look:

Most of these products are in the $25-$35 range, but honestly I think it is so worth paying more money for better products. I don't have to repurchase makeup nearly as often and I don't have to reapply my makeup throughout the day AT ALL.

I hope this helped any of y'all who are looking for new products to try out!

theres not enough hours in the day

ever since school started back i feel like i cant get ahead! i am constantly busy and it's hard getting back into this routine. i spend about 4 hours of my day in the car, 8 hours in a 2nd grade classroom or in class, 4 hours at work, and 2 hours doing school work. its.so.insane. and of course blogging has had to take a backseat because lets face it i barley even have time to sleep.

but. i have made some time for a few fun things over the last couple of weeks.

adam, his roommate, and i watched the movie money ball last week. i thought it was really good!

then last friday me and the roomies went to see footloose at the dollar theater. best movie ive seen in a long time. it was sooo cute!!

and last night i got together with some of the other middle school girl small group leaders. it was fun getting to hang out with them outside of church which i dont normally get to do!

today was the 100th day of school and my 2nd graders were so excited! everything we did was centered around the number 100 :)

we read this book. if youre ever looking for a 100th school day book this is a cute one...

looking forward to a relaxing weekend!!!

Mission Trip

Earlier in the school year I decided that I wanted to go on a mission trip for spring break. I knew that my church took trips every year so when it came time to sign up I knew immediately I wanted to do it. I filled out the application, got an e-mail saying I was accepted, applied for my passport, and had my first meeting this past Sunday. Needless to say it is all happening extremely fast and I am doing everything I can to prepare myself for the trip. Obviously the trip costs a lot of money and I am in the process of creating a support letter to send out to family and close friends. Since this blog and the people in the blog community are such a huge part of my life I wanted to give y'all the opportunity to partner with me as well. I really want to create a team of bloggers who will commit to praying for me and my team while we are in Nicaragua. It's so important to me to know that there are people back home who are thinking about me and praying for me. I have been blessed with so much in my life and I really want to use my talents and abilities to serve the least of these (matthew 25:40). I have added a pay pal donation button on my side bar to make donating easier for my family and friends, but I also encourage you to make a donation if you feel lead to do so. Above all else I really just want to know that you will pray for me. Pray that I will be stretched, pray that I will embrace uncertainty and unfamiliarity, pray that I will be able to shine the light of Jesus on everyone I come in contact with in Nicaragua.

If you would like to become part of my prayer team just leave me a comment below! I would love to be able to keep you updated and send you the same follow up letter I will send to my family and friends once I return home from my trip : )

I love you all and am so thankful for the amazing support I have found through blogging!

Babies, bookbags, and a bunch of STUFF!

This past weekend I helped host a baby shower for my cousin, Lindsey, who is due with twin girls in March!! Twins run in our funny so we are all very excited for the next generation. Listen to how intense it is.. every generation, as far back as we know, has had twins.. they are always fraternal.. and the sex is always determined by who is the "link" to the family, so if I were to have twins I would have girls, but if my brother were to have twins he would have boys. So we pretty much knew Lindsey was having girls from the second she found out she was pregnant with twins. Her husband already had 2 boys when they got married so now she is 25 and about to have 4 kiddos : ) haha bless her heart, right?? We can't wait for Ava and Lila to get here!!

Carolyne-Grace has been so much fun lately.. she will be 18 months old next week and this is just such a fun age! Some of her favorite things right now are sunglasses and getting her hair and "makeup" done. My mom and I got her these "sunnies" (as she calls them) from Gymboree last week and she has been wearing them ever since! (she wore them the entire baby shower lol) Everytime I put "makeup" on her this is the face she makes to show it off, I wish you could see her eyes because she closes them super tight.. I'll have to try and get a video of it next time I see her! Love my little diva niece.

Carolyne-Grace starts "school" next week so she got a Vera Bradley book bag just like Aunt Jamie's ;) She thought she was cool stuff matching her "Mamie"

After the shower I decided to move all my stuff back to my apartment. I have been home-home since Thanksgiving so you can imagine the amount of STUFF I had to take back. This is just SOME of my stuff thrown in my floor when I got to my apartment. YIKES. This semester is bitter sweet. I have lived with McKinley for the last three years and Katie for the last two, but we will all be going our seperate ways come May.. Katie is getting married in June, McKinley will only have student teaching left, and I am moving home to finish up my last semeseter and student teaching. There will definitely be an abnormal amount of roomie dinners at buffalos/chick-fil-a followed by random trips to Target to buy things we don't need. I'M GOING TO MISS THIS!!

And random.. but this week last year me and the roomies were snowed in for 6 days, the whole first week of school was canceled, and this week it is 60* ..typical bi-polar Georgia weather!

Rise up!

Day 1 of Passion: Complete!

Y'all, I had NO IDEA just how amazing this experience as going to be, but let me just tell y'all, I have been BLOWN away by everything today.

We started our morning out looking for breakfast. If you know much about Atlanta you know that finding a fast food restaurant downtown is about impossible. So after driving around for an hour looking for breakfast we ended up at a gas station eating pop tarts.. I was all worked up about us getting lost & having to settle for a pop tart but luckily my first day at Passion has made that seem ridiculous.

We got to Passion early so we could get some lunch and watch the Georgia game (which btw was awful..)

Once we finished lunch we went and checked in. We were informed that we couldn't bring our "big" cameras in so we headed back out to the car to put them away. While we were there Jess realized she had a pocket knife...

(side note: if you are ever thinking about wearing TB Revas when you are walking MILES across Atlanta...don't. My feet are tore up. Not to mention it was FREEZING today)

We went back to the Dome and got in line to go in. We had to wait about 45 mins for the doors to open. Once they did we filed in and found ourselves on the field super close to the stage. Lucky us!

The opening music was incredible. They introduced a few new songs as well as sang some old Passion songs. I can not wait for y'all to hear the new Passion songs. From what we've hear so far I know they're all going to be amazing.

Louie talked tonight and it was awesome as usual. I won't get into exactly what he talked about because I want to do a post about it once I'm back home.

After the main session we went to community groups. Once we were in comm groups we divided into smaller "family groups." There are 8 of the most unlikely people in my group and I LOVE it. We have people from all over the country as well as someone from Thailand. I am just blown away by how great God is, that I would be faced to face with total strangers from around the country praising His name.

After comm groups we got to go back to the dome for David Crowder Bands FINAL concert!! It was bitter sweet. They are an amazing bad, and I am so las I got to witness their final show, but I will miss them !!

I can't even begin to describe the experience it is to be with over 40,000 college students praising, worshiping, and learning about Jesus. We have literally taken over the streets of Atlanta.

It's time for our generation to rise up and love Jesus!

Now we are back home ready to get about 5 hours asleep before we are up and at it again :)

I'm Heading to the Dome!

I'm off to Atlanta for the week for the Passion Conference : )

If you think about it say a little prayer for the 60,000+ college students who will be gathering together to celebrate Jesus this week!

I'm bringing my laptop so hopefully I will have some time to update :)
