Mission Trip

Earlier in the school year I decided that I wanted to go on a mission trip for spring break. I knew that my church took trips every year so when it came time to sign up I knew immediately I wanted to do it. I filled out the application, got an e-mail saying I was accepted, applied for my passport, and had my first meeting this past Sunday. Needless to say it is all happening extremely fast and I am doing everything I can to prepare myself for the trip. Obviously the trip costs a lot of money and I am in the process of creating a support letter to send out to family and close friends. Since this blog and the people in the blog community are such a huge part of my life I wanted to give y'all the opportunity to partner with me as well. I really want to create a team of bloggers who will commit to praying for me and my team while we are in Nicaragua. It's so important to me to know that there are people back home who are thinking about me and praying for me. I have been blessed with so much in my life and I really want to use my talents and abilities to serve the least of these (matthew 25:40). I have added a pay pal donation button on my side bar to make donating easier for my family and friends, but I also encourage you to make a donation if you feel lead to do so. Above all else I really just want to know that you will pray for me. Pray that I will be stretched, pray that I will embrace uncertainty and unfamiliarity, pray that I will be able to shine the light of Jesus on everyone I come in contact with in Nicaragua.

If you would like to become part of my prayer team just leave me a comment below! I would love to be able to keep you updated and send you the same follow up letter I will send to my family and friends once I return home from my trip : )

I love you all and am so thankful for the amazing support I have found through blogging!

i'll definitely be keeping you and your missions team in my prayers! i've been on 5 missions trips, just within the US, and they always had a huge huge impact on me, the people i went with, and, of course, on those we served. praying they see God through you, looking forward to hearing how it all goes :)

My Dad had originally planned to go India to give out Polio vaccinations on national immunization day but cannot now because of the dates he'd be gone he'd miss my nieces birthday in february BUT he is headed to Nigeragua to do the same thing in March or April crazy that y'all could be there the same time!

  3. I'm sure you are going to love the experience you have! I would love to join your prayer team. I think missions is so important and I think short term teams are crucial to assisting with the work full-time missionaries undertake. What will you be doing while you're in Nicaragua?

    1. Also, I'd like to donate, but the button isn't working. :[ I'll try it again tomorrow or am more than happy to send you a donation directly through paypal if that works for you!
