Never in my Life...

...did I think I would get in a wreck AND get to meet Honey Boo Boo's family on the way home from Jacksonville! The worst day ever & the best day ever all combined into one!!

We got in a pretty bad fender bender on the highway. Adam's truck is fine, but the girl who hit him had to get her car towed :/ I was feeling fine until the next day when my neck started hurting. I guess I got whiplash but didn't even realize it. Apparently you don't feel the pain from that until the day or so after..

Adam and I go to Savannah a lot so we have gone through McIntyre more times than I can count. While watching Here Comes Honey Boo Boo {our guilty pleasure} we realized that's where she lived! I told Adam that the next time we went through that town we had to stop and try and find their house! It was too dark on our way down on Thursday so Adam promised we could stop on Sunday on our way back. Being the huge HBB fan that I am I spotted the gas station that they frequent and knew that there house was behind it. We followed the rail road tracks which run right through their back yard and there it was!! I got SO excited!! There were some girls already there that were also coming back from the game. We got out and started talking to Pumpkin. She got the rest of the gang to come out, except for Alana {honey boo boo} because she was filming an interview! We talked to them for a good twenty minutes! They are just as ridiculous in real life as they are on t.v. but they are also just as sweet! I enjoyed talking to Mama June and hearing her make fun of Adam's major ; )

Here's Alana walking back inside to film

Yes, she has a towel on her head!!

I was going to be a Ninja Turtle for Halloween, but now I'm thinking I need to be HBB! Ha!! We'll see ; )

Weekend Rewind

This past weekend was one for the books! So.much.fun!!

We headed down to Jacksonville Thursday evening

We arrived around mid night and went straight to bed.
Friday we got up & got some breakfast and went to Target for some essentials..like halloween masks ;)

We spent the rest of the day down at Atlantic Beach. Hurricane Sandy was out in full force.. I have never been in wind so strong!

We ended up in this swanky hotel for a minute to get out of the wind!

That night we headed to the hotel across the street for free beer! Then went out to dinner : )

Our "Get 'em Dawgs" pic.. haha

The real picture:

I ran into one of my bff's boyfriend, Russ! He is training to be a Navy pilot & got to fly to Jacksonville for a "test" ..no big deal ; ) ha!!

Just having some crazy fun w/ my besties ; )

Saturday we were up & out bright and early.. 7am tailgating!
It was SO windy & cold so Jess, Ashley & I hung out in the car for a while before it finally started warming up!

The game was unreal! I was super nervous going into this game. I was praying for a win!! The game was ugly offensively, but our defense was unstoppable!!! I had so much fun cheering on the Dawgs with Adam! & so THANKFUL for a win over Florida. Makes Adam's job a whole lot easier!!

We headed back to Athens the next morning & had THE MOST EVENTFUL ride home ever
Check back tomorrow for a recap of our crazy trip!! ; )

World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party

One of my favorite UGA traditions is the Georgia/Florida game.
A.K.A. "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party"
Exhibit A. Frat Beach..ridiculousness

We are headed down to Jacksonville today for the weekend to root on our Dawgs!
With Florida undefeated going into the game, and us with only one loss, it is going to be a tough one!
Cannot wait!!

"Do you know what is gonna happen here tonight? And up at St. Simons and Jekyll Island and all those places where all those Dawg people have got those condominiums for four days? MAN, is there gonna be some property destroyed tonight!"-Larry Munson

Wedding Wednesday: Honeymoon

Hey there lovely ladies! Today for Wedding Wednesday I am looking for some help!! We need to book our honeymoon sometime in December/January.. but we have NO IDEA where we want to go.
The only requirements are that it's a beach and it's a couple's only resort.
Where did y'all go for your honeymoon or vacation that we should know about?
This is such a hard decision (but one that I am happy I get to make!)

Thanks for your help!

I hope y'all had a great weekend! I know I sure did. I started off the weekend by going to a recruiting dinner with Adam on Friday night, then on Saturday I tailgated and went to the Georgia game (DAWGS WON!) and Sunday was spent at church, doing homework, and hanging out with friends! All in all it was a wonderful weekend : )

Yesterday at church we started new series called Twenty Second of Courage. The message yesterday was about having courage and going public with your faith in Jesus. Our pastor gave people the opportunity to accept Christ right then and there! I will be honest--I didn't think there would be that many people. I thought maybe 5 or 10 would come forward, it would be a cool moment, and that would be that. But WOW did God prove me wrong. Over the course of three services TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY EIGHT people from our church were baptized. I cried all morning. It was absolutely amazing! Among the 278 were some friends that I went to Nicaragua with and one of my seventh grade girls who I have been praying for for a LONG time to make this decision!

Going public with your faith can be a really scary thing. But God calls us to choose faith over fear. Joshua 1:9 says "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be dismayed; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." It is so simple..God calls us to TRUST him above all else. I know it can be scary to trust God, but if you just have twenty seconds of courage you can give him total control of your life.

I was so blown away by all of the people that came forward and publicly professed that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior!!

Here is a really great video that the talented video team from Athens Church put together today...
