there is no where else for me

"Here at Your feet, I lay my past down. My wanderings, all my mistakes down, and I am free. Here at Your feet, I lay this day down. Not in my strength, but in Your's I've found all I need. You're all I need. Jesus, Jesus, at Your feet oh to dwell and never leave! Jesus, Jesus, at Your feet, there is no where else for me. There is no where else for me. Here at Your feet, I lay my future down, all of my dreams, I give to You now, and I find peace. I find peace. Jesus, Jesus, at Your feet, oh to dwell and never leave! Jesus, Jesus, at Your feet, there is no where else for me. There is no where else for me. Here at Your feet, I lay my life down, for You my King, Your all I want now, and my soul sings, Jesus, Jesus at Your feet, oh to dwell and never leave! Jesus, Jesus, at Your feet, there is no where else for me. There is no where else for me. 'Cause I am free, here at Your feet, all I need, is at Your feet, I find peace, we're at Your feet, we're at Your feet. I am FREE, here at Your feet."

Easter. For some it's just a day to dress up, go to church, and spend time with family. But for me it is the superbowl of my faith. It's WHY I believe what I do. It's WHY I am a Christian. This song above says it all for me. There is no where else for me. I have been on both sides of the fence. I have been a train wreck so deep in sin I couldn't see right in front of me and I have been a sinner rescued and saved by grace. I am SO thankful that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. for all of our sins. We have been redeemed.

The last few weeks in our middle school service at church we have been talking to the students about prayer. We've talked about how people view prayer, what prayer looks like in our own lives, how prayer works and why we pray. Yesterday, on Easter, we talked about how we don't know why God chooses to answer some prayers and not others. Why he chooses to heal some people and let others die. Why he chooses to provide someone with a job and let others lose their job. When our prayers go unanswered we often times find ourselves doubting God and his ability to help us. We start to deem our prayers "unimportant" or "stupid." But the truth is, friends, that when we pray we have access to the same God that rose Jesus from the grave. Let that sink in!! The same God that ROSE JESUS FROM THE DEAD is listening to our prayers!! WOW! So the next time you find yourself doubting God or thinking your prayer is insignificant let that thought come into your heart. God cares. God listens. and God loves.

I don't know what is going on in your life or what you are currently praying about, but remember that just because you don't see results immediately doesn't mean God isn't listening or doesn't care about you <3 p="">

  1. Love what you have been learning about prayer. We serve such an awesome God but our prayers sometimes make it seem like we serve an "okay" God who "sometimes" does "pretty good" things. NO. Our God raised Jesus from the DEAD and sat Him at HIS right hand! HOLY COW! Our God has done big, amazing, awesome things. I need to believe in that power everyday! Love you, doll, and I am so thankful for what the Lord is teaching you!

  2. Awww those little girls are precious! And their little polka dot and chevron dresses- why can't they make those in my size? I'd totally wear those! Hahaha.
On a different note- this was such a great post! This year one of my spiritual goals was making it a point to pray out loud every night before I go to sleep. I have to say- it has strengthened my faith so much and it always gives me so much peace to know that He listens. What an amazing God we serve!
