I think especially in today's social-media filled world it is SO easy to compare ourselves to others. I know I do it daily when pursuing my blog roll or Instagram feed. It's important to remember, however, that what you see through your computer screen or iPhone is only part of someone's story. You may be envious of someone and the way their life seems, but there is so much more that you don't know about that person. I try to be as real as I can on my blog, but there are things in my life that are private and will never be talked about on the internet. Just remember that when you start to compare yourself to someone else it's basically like telling God what He has given you is not enough. I know that we don't mean that when we compare ourselves to other people but that's the way it comes across. Just something to think about ; )

  1. SO true, wise girl. I fall into the trap of comparison much more often then I care to admit. I am REALLY working on this, and learning that gratefullness is the first line of defense . Being grateful and praising God for what he has given me is the best way to overcome what comparison takes away from you!

  2. This is a great reminder! Just what I needed to read today.
