There are only a few things in my life that I feel I am REALLY good at or know a lot about. One of those things is teaching. The place in this world I feel the most confident in myself is inside a classroom. I love to learn, I love to teach, and I love to see children grow. It's a really great thing when your passion and your career go hand in hand.

This past semester I completed my final semester of college--student teaching. I taught for 15 weeks in a first grade classroom. I planned all the lessons, copied all of the materials, and taught everything.

I learned SO much in those 4 months. Not only about teaching but about myself. I learned how hard it is to be a teacher. I learned how rewarding it is to see students progress. I learned how students come from all different walks of life. But most importantly I learned that I am good at teaching.

Tuesday was my last day with my first grade friends and they showered me with lots of love, gifts, and even a few tears. Some of my poor little girls just couldn't keep it together. Precious.

So thankful for the amazing experience I had during student teaching.

  1. This is so sweet! So rewarding to see all the love your kiddos have for you at the end of the year. Now it's time to move on the even more exciting wedding things!!!

  2. HOW PRECIOUS. It's always nice to be rewarded for something you don't expect to be, especially when just doing it brings you joy.

  3. so so sweet! i bet you are the BEST teacher!!

  4. That's so sweet! I love the shirt they made you!
