A Moment to Remember

I know that the "first look" is not for everyone but I am SO glad we chose to go this route. I have many reasons for why I wanted to do it this way but the main reasons were for picture sake and for my poor groom's sake. I knew Adam was going to be a nervous wreck so I figured it would help ease his nerves for us to see each other before hand. I also didn't want to make our guests wait for us to take pictures after the ceremony. In the middle of June in the South the last thing people want to do is stand outside and wait! Our first look is a moment I will always remember.

Gosh, I am a lucky girl!

Funny story.. Adam and I are the ultimate anti-PDA couple so we were really awkward when we saw each other for the first time. We were both so excited but we literally just stood there and stared at each other. Our photographer finally told us we needed to hug ; )

After our first look it was time for some fun with our wedding party!!

  1. Love these! We are doing a first look too for all the same reasons as y'all. Plus we are getting married in November at 5:30 and we may lose all the light during the ceremony! Can't wait to see more pictures!

  2. You are so smart for doing this! We didn't choose to at our wedding, so the whole day was spent taking pictures, we barely got to dance and enjoy the day. You and Adam are precious and these are beautiful pictures!

  6. Jamie, you were stunning on your wedding day! I love how simple yet elegant your hair was. Love all the pictures!!! Adam is definitely your Prince Charming. My cousin got married on July 4th and she chose to do the reveal before hand as well...they were happy they did that!

  7. We did a first look as well, and it was the best decision ever. I was so incredibly calm after seeing him, that my walk down the aisle didn't even phase me! These pictures are gorgeous :)

  8. Beautiful pictures! What a special moment to share with just you and your hubby in private. (With photographers and videographers looking on...haha!) At my sister's wedding, we got to the reception like 90 minutes after the guests because were so busy taking pictures and I remember at my cousin's wedding having to keep all the guests out of the hall so the bride could see the decorations (and that was in the southern heat!). You guys definitely made a good choice!

  11. Precious, precious! We were the same way with our first look.. Funny story: Our videographers had put a mic on my husband and so he would barely talk because he was shy about the videographer listening to us. I literally called him out like "why aren't you talking!?" and he then showed me the mic. Oops. :)
