easiest diy project ever

I have been in complete home decor mode the last few weeks. I just want it DONE (yes, I know it will never truly be "done", but I would just like some serious progress). We have two blank walls on either side of the window in our kitchen--one of the walls houses our "coffee bar", but the other wall was lacking a bit.

Ever since Nicole made her chicken wire wall I knew I wanted to do something similar. I thought the blank wall in our kitchen was the perfect place to put one! I set out to Home Depot, got some chicken wire (around $10), came home & used a staple gun to attach it to the wall. The whole project from start to finish literally took less than 10 minutes.

I used some wedding pictures, free printables from Pinterest, and wedding/engagement/bachelorette party/baby announcements/invitations (we have a lot going on this year ha!!) to decorate. I grabbed these clothes pins at Wal-Mart a while back ($1 for 24)

I love the way it turned out and I love that I will easily be able to switch things up with different seasons, invitations, etc. I plan to put all the Christmas cards we receive this year on our chicken wire wall.

I'll be back next week with even more home decor projects : )

P.S. Be sure to check out Naptime Diares new 2013 Advent calendar! I ordered mine yesterday and can't wait to figure out how I want to use it in our house this year.

  1. So cute! My sister had something like this at her wedding and now has it as part of their decor. It'll look great with Christmas cards!

  2. I love it! Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to try it in our new home.:)

  3. Love it! It will be a great way to display holiday cards. :)

  4. I'm considering doing this! LOVE IT!
