2014

Highlights of 2014...

Greatest lesson learned: It's okay to say NO! I have a very hard time with over committing to things. I jumped at every opportunity that was presented to me professionally this past year and it really stretched me thin. I am nearing the end and can finally see a light at the end of the grad school & gifted certification tunnel. (THANK GOODNESS)

Hardest thing this year: balancing being pregnant, working full time an hour away from home, and being in grad school + getting my gifted certification. To say I was busy this past year is an extreme understatement and something I hope to fix once I'm done with school : )

Favorite memory: The birth of our son, Bennett Tucker!

What I love about 2014: Being pregnant was rough, but becoming a mom was the most amazing thing to ever happen to me. Although I only got to be a mom for less than a month of 2014 it was my absolute favorite thing that happened!

Looking forward to 2015...

Want to learn: How to balance life as a working mama. I know it's going to be tough but I really want to be intentional about leaving work on time and not taking a lot of work home. I want to be completely present for my family when I am at home.

Want to get better at: Living a healthy life. Getting my body back into shape about birth is really important to me and I really want to be conscious about the choices I am making in regards to food and exercise.

Goals for 2015:
1. Get back in shape after having Bennett
2. Graduate from grad school & finish my gifted certification
3. Land a job closer to home (!!!!)
4. Continue checking things off my 101 in 1001 list
5. Create products for Teachers Pay Teachers

And like I've done for the past few years, here is a recap of 2014..enjoy!

July

August
Started my 2nd year of teaching (with the best class ever!!), did A LOT of shopping for Bennett, and started football season

September
Spent a lot of time working on my classroom this month, only blogged one time and was extremely sick the entire month (ugh, don't miss that at all!)

October
Had some Halloween fun with my students, had our last baby free weekend, and went to Jacksonville for the Georgia/Florida game

November
Re-branded my blog and launched Classic City Creative, packed my hospital bag, and shared some products I used up

December
Gave birth to Bennett Tucker on December 4th, started so many Christmas traditions, and celebrated Bennett's first Christmas with tons of family events!

2014 was a year of growth. I spent every month except January and February pregnant and the entire year pretty much revolved around getting ready for our baby. I am excited to move on to a new year as a family of three. I can't wait to see what 2015 holds for us!
