Memorial Day Weekend

I am officially in SAHM mode!! Praise the Lord! I am so excited to spend some quality time with Bennett this summer doing all sorts of fun things.

First up, Memorial Day Weekend! We started off with brunch at one of our local favorites, Big City Bread. We also got to meet Gracie's new sister, Madison!

We spent the rest of the day playing at Shugie & MickDad's house!

We are lucky that my aunt lives on a beautiful horse farm at Lake Oconee so that is where we spend all of our summer holidays : ) Since we now have so many babies it was easier for us to spend the weekend at the pool instead of on the boat. I'm hoping to get Bennett out on the lake at least once this summer though. Bennett definitely enjoys the pool and especially loves being pulled around by his Daddy and MickDad!

May Goals

Whoops, 12 days into May and I'm just now getting around to finishing this post. Anyone who is a teacher can understand because May is INSANE for us.

April Goals
1. Bennett's first beach trip!
2. Continue workout plan + start the Tone it Up Bikini Series
3. Start the envelope system again (admittedly, we have been slacking in the financial department lately and we are both eager to get back on the Dave Ramsey train!)
4. Spring cleaning

We had so much fun on Bennett's first beach trip. You can read more about it HERE!

I started the Tone it Up Bikini Series and am loving it! I have been getting up before work and working out and it has made a huge difference in my day. The few days that I haven't been able to work out before work (either because Bennett wakes up early or I didn't get to bed on time) I do it after work. I have also begun keeping track of all of my meals and snacks and it has definitely helped to keep me accountable. I still have cheat days of Chickfila and mexican but overall I have been doing really well : )

We planned to start the envelope system back this month but just didn't. so there's that. We may try to start again this summer, we'll see.

I had a spring cleaning plan but honestly just never got around to tackling it. Our weekends have been jam packed this month but hopefully once summer hits I'll have more time to check everything off my list!

May Goals
1. Finish my 2nd year teaching and start my summer as a stay at home mom ; )
2. Continue the bikini series
3. Celebrate my first Mother's Day
4. Print pictures of Bennett and get a few canvases made for his room.

Bennett | 5 Months

I know I say this every single month but I really can't believe my baby is already FIVE months old already!! Bennett is so much fun and has hit some pretty fun milestones this past month : )

Weight/Height: I definitely feel like he has put a lot of weight on recently. My guess is 18lbs. He was 25 in. at his 4 month appointment and I think he's still probably around that length.

Hair: Oh Lord...his hair is something else right now! It's getting sooo long on the sides but it's almost completely gone in the back. He desperately needs a hair cut to even up the hair around his ears so we'll probably do that soon. I'm hoping once he is sitting up consistently that it will grow back in.

Eyes: Still bright blue!

Clothes: 6-9 months in shirts and 3-6 in pants/shorts

Diapers: Size 2

Sleeping: We put Bennett down around 7:30pm and he usually wakes up around 7:00am. I am very appreciative of how good of a sleeper he is! Even when we go on vacation he still sleeps pretty good!! He is getting better about naps too. I'm hoping once I'm home with him for the summer that I can get him on a good, consistent, nap schedule ; )

Likes: Going on walks, taking baths, sleeping in his crib, his paci & lovie, and singing songs

Dislikes: Poopy diapers, being hot, being tired, and being hungry

Eating: Bennett eats five 7 oz bottles a day. 7:00am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:30pm, and 7:00pm. He eats a jar of baby food at 8:30am. I am going to start giving him more baby food this summer once I am home with him.

Milestones: Bennett is rolling over from front to back and back to front like crazy! He loves rolling around everywhere. He can also sit up unassisted for about 15-20 seconds. He loves trying to do it and laughs when he falls over.

Baby items we can't live without: We have used our stroller (Britax B-Agile) a TON this month. Bennett is getting big enough to sit in the big part and not the infant carrier and loves it! We are still loving the Mama Roo but the real winner this month has been our Fisher Price Jumperoo (similar one HERE). I forgot we even had this until I saw it in the box in the back of Bennett's closet. I'm so glad I realized we had it because he loves it!
